PM Modi Unveils Rs 49,200 Crore Projects in Jharkhand, Ignoring Tribal People's Demand for Sarna Dharma Code

throughout Khunti, Jharkhand, the home of respected tribal icon Birsa Munda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled plans and projects valued at roughly Rs 49,200 crore. However, throughout his address, which lasted more than 40 minutes, he made no mention of the tribal people's long-standing desire for a distinct Sarna dharma code.

After arriving in Ranchi late on Tuesday night, Modi paid respects at the statue of Birsa during his Wednesday morning visit to the Bhagwan Birsa Munda Memorial Park and Freedom Fighter Museum.

After that, he took a helicopter to Ulihatu, the birthplace of Birsa in the Khunti region, which is around 63 kilometers from Ranchi. There, he met some of Birsa's relatives and offered homage to the tribal hero.

At a later event held at the Birsa Munda football pitch to commemorate the beginning of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, the Prime Minister said that compared to many decades of previous administrations, a lot more work had been done in the past ten years.

By January 25, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra seeks to have reached every district in the nation, raising awareness and offering the advantages of the Center's welfare programs.

Compared to decades of effort done by previous administrations, a great deal of work has been done in the past ten years for the four pillars of Amrit Kaal: women, farmers, youths, and the middle and lower classes. In the last five years, approximately 13 crore individuals have emerged from poverty. While we labor as the people's servants, the past administrations saw themselves as the mai-baap of the people. Modi stated, "It was him who looked after the poor people who had been denied access to basic amenities for so many years."

Modi patted himself on the shoulder again, saying that his government was the first to distribute benefits directly to recipients and that intermediaries were out of the question, as they had been in previous administrations. At the function, he gave out Rs 18,000 crore, or Rs 2,000 to each recipient, as the 15th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi.

The Prime Minister has initiated a project of Rs 24,000 crores, with the purpose of guaranteeing social justice to the underprivileged and marginalized indigenous communities.

"Basic facilities like electricity, safe housing, clean drinking water and sanitation, improved access to education, health and nutrition, and sustainable livelihood opportunities will be provided to PVTG habitations, which are mostly remote, scattered, and inaccessible, under the leadership of Prime Minister Janjatiye Adivasi Nyay Mahaabhiyan, also known as PM Jan Man," Modi stated.

Attending the presentation, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren attempted to sober up the audience by pointing out that despite the nation's lunar exploration, the gap between the affluent and the poor had not been closed.
