Shatrughan Sinha's Evolving Journey: From Conservative Father to Proud Supporter of Daughter Sonakshi

This TMC MP used to claim that he couldn't bear the thought of his daughter moving away and that if wishes were horses, he would desire a ghar jamai, or son-in-law who lives with his wife's family. He would say, "I can't imagine the house without Sona."

Shatrughan Sinha, despite his past conservatism and chauvinism, has adapted to the changing circumstances. Sonakshi, his daughter, has played a significant role in it. She is a female version of her assertive father and carries his initials.

In Ramayan, the Sinha mansion, a lot has changed over time. To start, Poonam, the wife, is the one who discreetly dons the pants in the home. Beneath the placid exterior of Shatru's 1980 wife was an educated Libran with strong beliefs. One such early instance was when mother sent Kush and Luv to a boarding school in Kodai-kanal, over his protests. Maybe his acquiescence sprang from his conventional thinking, in which the male was the Minister of Finance and External Affairs and the wife was the Home Minister, taking care of the house and children (pun intended).

Shatru has been occupied with his own political career, traveling by plane from Asansol to Delhi following his win, and then on to Mumbai.
