Shriya Pilagaonkar Excited to Reprise Role in Broken News Season 2

Shriya Pilagaonkar is excited to play the brave and feisty journalist Radha Bhargav again in the forthcoming ZEE5 series Broken News Season 2, which premieres on May 3.

In the next season, Shriya's character is ready to take on Dipankpar Sanyal, played by Jaideep Ahlawat. "I am eagerly awaiting the premiere of The Broken News' upcoming season. My character is back, and this time it's vengeful as hell. She said, "There are going to be some unexpected twists and turns for the story and my character."

The actress spoke about how the next season would delve even deeper into the human side of journalism. Seeing the love and passion from the fans heightens the anticipation and provides motivation for the next season. She continued, "It's fascinating how our characters explore the human side of journalism."

The second trailer for Season 2 of Broken News was unveiled on April 16. Radha is the strong character to be reckoned with in the series. Sonali Bendre and Indraneil Sengupta, in addition to Shriya and Jaideep, play important roles in the program.

Awaaz Bharati News and Josh 24/7 are two news networks with diametrically opposed ideologies and a ferocious competition in The Broken News, which is based on the BBC Studios TV drama series Press (2018). The plot centers on a group of vibrant journalists who are trying to manage their personal and professional lives in the face of uncertainty.

The Broken News, written and directed by Sambit Mishra and produced by ZEE5 in association with BBC Studios India. Broken News's first season debuted on June 10, 2022.
