Thalapathy 68: Vijay's New Film Begins Shooting, Cast and Crew Announced

Following the success of his most recent blockbuster Leo, Tamil actor Vijay is now prepared for his upcoming project, tentatively named Thalapathy 68. The film's producers have released the cast and crew as well as a behind-the-scenes footage from the first day of filming.

AGS Entertainment, the production company, posted the information on social media on Tuesday in honor of Vijaya Dashami. They posted the two minutes, 12 second video on X along with the message, "On this auspicious day, @actorvijay Sir's #PadaPoojai video is here," in reference to Thalapathy 68.

Thalapathy 68, directed by Venkat Prabhu, just wrapped up its first day of shooting in Chennai. Meenakshi Chaudhary, an actress who earlier this year made her Tamil film debut in Kolai with Vijay Antony, will also appear in it.

Key characters in the movie will be played by seasoned actors Prashanth, Prabhudeva, Mohan, Jayaram, Ajmal Amir, Sneha, Laila, Yogi Babu, and VTV Ganesh. In addition, prominent roles in the film will be played by the actors Vaibhav, Premgi, Aravind Akash, and Ajay Raj.

The cinematography will be handled by Siddhartha Nuni, and the editing will be handled by Venkat Raajen. Like every Vijay film, Thalapathy 68 is anticipated to include stunt sequences, which would be carried out with Dhilip Subbarayan's supervision.
