With a clever doodle and a lighthearted caption that parodies the name of the award given for excellence in both American and international TV shows, dairy company Amul India celebrated Indian comedian Vir Das's Emmy win.

Das expressed his excitement at being the subject of Amul's doodle right away after winning the prestigious award for his Netflix stand-up special Vir Das: Landing in the Best Comedy category. "Whoa. BRB. Crying," the comedian wrote on X, referencing a tweet from Amul.

In a virtual interview with PTI following his return home on Wednesday, Das expressed his hope that "we all just get sillier and continue to be fools" in response to his Emmy victory.

"An award is a token of appreciation for humor. I made sure to acknowledge the laughter of the Indian people in my speech. He continued, "I said it was the soundtrack to my life.

Das is on his fourth Netflix special, Vir Das: Landing.

Acclaimed for movies like Go Goa Gone, Delhi Belly, and Love Aaj Kal, the comedian has multiple acting roles planned for 2024, one of which is a co-directed feature film that is scheduled to premiere in February.
