Akhilesh Yadav gave Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra an immediate boost on Sunday by joining it in Agra with thousands of his followers and announcing that the Congress and the Samajwadi Party were on the same page.

Many Samajwadi activists had congregated outside the Tedi Bagia Chauraha crossroads since the morning, singing chants in support of both Rahul and Akhilesh, as if they were excited to see him alongside Rahul.

"We can beat the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections if we band together. A local kid named Ranjit Chauhan was reported by reporters as stating, "The best thing about the SP-Congress alliance is their focus on the common issue of the deprivation of the backward and underprivileged classes."

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the general secretary of the Congress, participated in the Yatra. After addressing the assembly from the top of an open jeep, the three leaders waved to the throngs of people along the Yatra route.

"Rahul is talking about the 73 per cent combined population of the Other Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, and Akhilesh’s party is holding village and block-level meetings of the PDA (Peechhra-Dalit-Alpsankhak or OBC-Dalit-minorities)," added Chauhan.

More than 85% of people do not get any assistance from the Narendra Modi administration. We had been anticipating the positive news about the Congress and SP working together, and now it was verified."

Chauhan said that one lakh persons attended the Yatra in Agra, with half of them being Samajwadi adherents. "This means the SP workers too are with the Congress."

The Samajwadis will run for 63 of the 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh, while the Congress will run for the remaining 17. This agreement was reached between the two parties.

The campaign was named "PDA Yatra-Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra" by Akhilesh.

"Our farmers' and young people's ambitions are being destroyed by this regime. Because they don't have jobs, the young people have no future. We've heard that young people are killing themselves and burning their degrees," he said.

In Kannauj on Friday, a young man named Brijesh Pal by the police seemed to burn his degrees and hang himself.

"Of all the states, Uttar Pradesh was expected to provide the most employment. However, the test papers for every single recruitment have been released. The state administration is purposely leaking the documents in order to prevent our young people from getting employment. Akhilesh said, "This government functions to favor a small group of people.

The advertised positions have not been filled since a number of recent recruiting examinations were canceled due to paper leaks.

"This administration will be defeated in this election by the PDA's fight and the INDIA alliance. Wherever the PDA unites, the BJP will be destroyed, according to the Samajwadi president.

"I applaud (Rahul) for the success of this Yatra in spreading awareness across the nation. I want to thank everyone who has helped make this Yatra a huge success. However, the true test of achievement will be when the BJP is forced out of Uttar Pradesh.

"BJP bhagao, loktantra bachao" (Oust the BJP, safeguard democracy) was the next slogan that Akhilesh announced.

"The people of the country want justice, equality, and equal opportunities," Priyanka said. People want progress, harmony, love, and peace. The pursuit of justice unites the nation.

The Samajwadi Party produced a theme song just before Akhilesh joined the Yatra, and it was aired on social media and in cities like Lucknow and Agra.

"Sahara hai Akhilesh hi, sahara hai Akhilesh." India ka gathbandhan hai. Vote karo is desh ki khatir, gathbandhan ki khatir, Rahul aur Akhilesh ki khatir. Hey, Loktantra bachana hai (the hope is in Akhilesh). The INDIA alliance is this. Cast your vote for this nation, for Rahul and Akhilesh, and for this partnership. We must preserve democracy)," the song's lyrics said.

Rahul declared: "We need to fight this conspiracy, which is being hatched to sow discord amongst brothers." This nation is a nation of love, not hate.
