With bowler Deepak Chahar present, the Chennai Super Kings' pre-season training got begun here on Saturday. Chahar will be looking to make a national return with a strong IPL run starting on March 22.

In addition to Chahar, the five-time IPL winners announced the arrival of the first group of players on Friday. They included all-rounders Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Mukesh Choudhary, Prashant Solanki, Ajay Mandal, and bowler Simarjeet Singh.


The bowler hasn't participated in any cricket since mid-December, when he withdrew from the T20I series against Australia and missed the South Africa trip because of his father's sickness.

The arrival of captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is not yet guaranteed. Within the following several days, he is anticipated to arrive in Chennai.
