Chilly Fog Blankets Ayodhya as Modi Gears Up for Ram Temple Ceremony

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reports that foggy weather was experienced by Ayodhya and the surrounding regions on Monday morning, and that chilly weather is expected to persist throughout the day.

As of 9 am, visibility was just 1,000 meters due to shallow fog, according to the Met Office.

Ayodhya is predicted to have "cold day" conditions on Monday, with a high of 15 to 17 degrees Celsius, according to the meteorological bureau.

The "Pran Pratishtha" event is scheduled to start at 12.20 pm and conclude by 1 pm. The prime minister will then speak to a crowd of around 7,000 people at the location, including celebrities and seers.

On Thursday, the IMD developed a special portal with weather-related information for Ayodhya and the surrounding territories.

In the main languages spoken across the globe, including Hindi, English, Urdu, Chinese, French, and Spanish, the website provides information on all meteorological factors, including temperature, precipitation, humidity, and wind patterns.

The website provides weather information for major locations, including Ayodhya, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Lucknow, and New Delhi. Users may also see a seven-day prediction and dawn and sunset times in Hindi and English via the weather bulletin.

Visibility between 0 and 50 meters is considered "very dense fog," 51 to 200 meters is considered "dense," 201 to 500 meters is considered "moderate," and 1,000 meters is considered "shallow," according to the weather office.

A "cold day" occurs when the highest temperature is at least 4.5 degrees below average and the lowest temperature is less than or equal to 10 degrees Celsius below average. A temperature maximum of 6.5 degrees Celsius or less below average is considered a "severe cold day."
