Chiranjeevi Unveils Title and Teaser Trailer for Socio-Fantasy Film 'Vishwambhara'

Chiranjeevi revealed the title and teaser trailer for his forthcoming socio-fantasy flick Vishwambhara on social media on Monday. The project was formerly dubbed #Mega156.

"A light of hope is coming from beyond the universe and the celestial realms - ????????????????????????????????????????????," Chiranjeevi captioned the video on Instagram.

The concept film, which is chock-full of eye-catching images, opens with a massive portal that takes viewers to a parallel realm where a figure dressed like a priest locks a strange egg-shaped box. It appears like the box has a personality all its own. It travels through a black hole and collides with an asteroid before hitting the earth's surface, leaving behind a massive crater. Abruptly, the egg-shaped box clicks open to reveal the movie's title.

Praised as a movie that delves into "mega mass beyond the Universe," Vishwambhara is written and directed by Vassishta, who previously worked on the fantasy action picture Bimbisara from 2022. M. M. Keeravani, the composer of the Oscar-winning song Naatu Naatu, composed the music for the film, which was produced by UV Creations.

Chiranjeevi last appeared in Waltair Veerayya starring Bobby Kolli and Bhola Shankar starring Meher Ramesh. Despite its poor box office performance, Bhola Shankar went on to become the third highest-grossing Telugu film of 2023. Chiranjeevi costarred on film alongside Ravi Teja, Shruti Haasan, and Catherine Tresa in Waltair Veerayya.

Reportedly in the early phases of production, Vishwambhara is expected to open in theaters around Sankranti in the following year.
