England Ready for Spin Spree: No Pitch Complaints, Pope Embraces Indian Challenge
Ollie Pope.

Ollie Pope, the vice-captain of England, stated that his team will not object if India offers pitches that aid in spin from the first ball itself when they open their five-match Test series on January 25.

The middle-order right-hander Pope, 26, did not hide from the notion that the character of pitches will be a major talking point during the series.

"A lot of outside noise is going to be present. Pitches can also be a great topic of conversation. We simply need to be as prepared as we can, but keep in mind that both teams are playing on the same pitch," Pope was cited by The Guardian.

Before England left for a training camp in Abu Dhabi before of the Test series, he stated, "In England, we might leave more grass on the pitch to suit our amazing seamers, so it's not surprising if India do the same to suit their spinners."

The current news about pitches gained prominence following India's two-day victory in a Test in Cape Town.

Pope was likewise unaffected by Test matches with low scores.

He remarked, "I actually find it pretty amazing to watch low-scoring Test matches where the ball has the edge over the bat."

I watched a good amount of South Africa vs. India, and it was amazing to watch: players making really hard runs and the ball soaring through.

"We won't be moaning if the pitches spin from ball one, even though the scores in India can be comparable. It's about figuring out how to fight it.

Three years ago, Pope was a member of the team that fell 1-3 in India.
