The trailer for Michael Mann's biographical sports drama film Ferrari shows Adam Driver's portrayal of Enzo Ferrari frantically seeking redemption as he struggles with loss and difficulty on both a personal and professional level.
The two minutes, 26 second-long video, which NEON released on Wednesday, shows Enzo's progress despite the fact that he is still dealing with personal problems and bankruptcy. It sheds light on Enzo's troubled marriage by showcasing his strained connection with his wife (Penélope Cruz), his coping mechanisms for his son's passing, and his child-sharing arrangements with a younger lover (Shailene Woodley).
Enzo is torn between two women and their children, but he still wants to preserve his business. The Mille Miglia, a grueling 1000-mile race across Italy that has the potential to revive his business, is his only chance at a career comeback. He needs to create the fastest car he is capable of creating—a Ferrari—for that.
Ferrari, a Michael Mann-directed and Troy Kennedy Martin-written film, will be released in theaters this Christmas.
