'Fighter' Soars High on Netflix: Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's Aerial Action Film Sets New Record
'Fighter' Outpaces 'Animal' and 'Dunki' in Streaming Views, Marks a Milestone for Bollywood on Netflix
The aerial action starring Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan Production banner Marflix Pictures announced in a social media post that Fighter had surpassed both Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki and Ranbir Kapoor's Animal in terms of total views on the streaming platform Netflix in just ten days, with over 12 million views.
According to the production firm that the filmmaker co-owns, the Siddharth Anand-directed movie has also become the fastest Bollywood film to surpass the 12-million-view milestone on Netflix.

In less than ten days, 12.4 million people viewed this #HrithikRoshan film. It's now the fastest-growing Bollywood movie, according to a post the production company made on Instagram. In its first week of release on Netflix, the Shah Rukh Khan film Dunki had almost 4.9 million views. The film debuted on the streaming service on February 15. On January 26, Ranbir Kapoor's Animal became available on Netflix. 6.2 million people saw the Sandeep Reddy Vanga-directed film in its first week on the streaming platform.
Hrithik plays squadron leader Shamsher Pathania, often known as Patty, in the aerial-action drama, while Deepika plays Minal Rathore, also referred to as Minni. Anil Kapoor plays Rakesh "Rocky" Jai Singh, the group captain, in the movie as well.
Rocky creates the Air Dragons, a group of proficient fighter pilots that includes Patty, Minnie, Sartaj "Taj" Gill (Karan Singh Grover), and Basheer "Bash" Khan (Akshay Oberoi), in the wake of a terror assault in Srinagar.
Rich in action-packed aerial combat scenes that are reminiscent of Tom Cruise's Top Gun films, the movie skillfully combines patriotic themes with spectacular visuals. The adversary in Fighter is played by rookie Rishabh Sawhney.
The film, which was produced by Viacom18 Studios and Marflix Pictures, was released in theaters on January 25 and made over Rs 337 crore in revenue globally.
