Actress Underwent Two Years of Coaching for Cricket-Centric Role
As part of her off-field practice for Mr. and Mrs. Mahi, Janhvi Kapoor performed flawless extra-cover drives in a garden and a room, according to a new behind-the-scenes film released by Dharma on Thursday.

The video starts with Janhvi practicing her hitting technique in a garden over the course of eight days. She is also shown practicing her stance with trainers in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings in the behind-the-scenes video.
For her part in the movie, Janhvi underwent two years of professional training, as the directors had previously disclosed. The actress had an injury during a training session, but she persisted in training because it was necessary for her role in the movie.

Janhvi also posted a behind-the-scenes video of herself running and lifting weights to stay in shape before the movie opens in theaters on May 31. Additionally, it saw the actress practicing her batting posture with diligence. A shot of Janhvi smashing the ball out of the park brought the video to a close.
The narrative of Mahima (Janhvi), a doctor with an intense love for cricket, is told in the film Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, which also stars Rajkummar Rao. Mahima marries Mahendra Aggarwal (Rajkummar), a young cricket player who aspires to be a member of Team India, through an arranged union. Mahendra discovers his wife's cricketing ability and supports her to follow her ambitions when his own hopes of becoming a well-known cricket player are destroyed.

Mr. & Mrs. Mahi is Rajkummar and Janhvi's second film together, following the horror comedy Roohi, which Hardik Mehta directed in 2021. Additionally, Janhvi and Sharan Sharma are collaborating for the second time following Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020).
