Jyoti Priya Mallick fit for discharge: Hospital authorities to Enforcement Directorate

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) was notified on Monday evening that Jyoti Priya Mallick was stable and ready for release by the administrators of a private hospital off EM Bypass, where he has been receiving treatment for the last three nights following his detention on Friday.

Senior investigators from the central investigating agency promised to apprehend Mallick as soon as possible and begin questioning him following an examination by a group of medical professionals from the Command Hospital in Alipore.

On Monday, Mallick, a diabetic with hypertension, renal impairment, and other diseases, was moved from the hospital's critical care unit to the male ward. This was done because a team of specialists, including a spine surgeon, neurologist, cardiologist, nephrologist, and endocrinologist, determined that the forest minister's condition was stable.

On their approach to Bankshall court in the afternoon, a group of ED officers stopped by Mallick to provide a report on the minister's precise health status after his apprehension. "Mallick was cleared for release, the hospital administration notified the case's investigating officer hours later. The authorities informed the ED's investigative team that the minister must take his insulin and medications on a regular basis, according to a source.

Mallick was visited in the hospital earlier in the day by her daughter Priyadarshini, who is also the secretary of the West Bengal Council for High Secondary Examination. They spoke briefly.

"My father has informed the ED in writing that he is prepared to be questioned. Priyadarshini informed ABP Ananda, "His condition is stable and hopefully, he will recover fast."

"Today, I went to the ED's office to turn in a medical report. One day later, it was approved.

A group of Alipore Command Hospital representatives filed an appeal with the Bankshall court on Monday, arguing that the hospital should be spared from screening the minister because of its patient backlog. However, the appeal was denied.

Two days prior, the ministry of defense facility's appeal had been denied by the court.
