Leo Crosses Rs. 500 Crore Worldwide, Becomes Third Tamil Film to Achieve the Feat
Thalapathy Vijay in Leo

Leo, starring actor Vijay, is the third Tamil film to break the Rs 500 crore mark at the worldwide box office, following Rajinikanth's 2.0 (Rs 783 crore) and Jailer (Rs 604 crore).

The action film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is now the fifth Indian film to reach the global milestone in 2023. It is in exclusive company with the other films that accomplished the feat earlier this year, including Rajinikanth's Jailer (Rs 691 crore), Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 (Rs 691 crore), and Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan (Rs 1050 crore and Jawan, Rs 1150 crore).

Leo has also made Rs 285 crore nett in India to date, and this week, the domestic box office is predicted to surpass the Rs 300 crore nett milestone.

Leo, which has already become the highest-grossing movie in Thalapathy Vijay's storied career, is locked in a fierce box office battle with Rajinikanth's most recent hit, Jailer. The competition is on to see if Leo can top Jailer's world record collection.
