Madhur Sharma: Musical Journey and Future Aspirations

Madhur Sharma has quickly gained popularity among fans for both his original songs and his covers of other people's tunes. After headlining Pune's Zomaland, a Zomato-organized food and entertainment festival, the singer and his band answered some questions from t2.

What did you find most memorable about your time at Zomaland this year?

I must talk about what an incredible experience performing at Zomaland was. Without a question, it is among the most well-planned events in the nation. For me, performing in front of such a large audience was the high point of the whole trip. In addition, several really well-known and gifted people from the business joined us on stage. I will eagerly anticipate returning to Zomaland, both as a performer and as a spectator.

Which songs elicited the most applause and involvement from the audience?

The love I get from the audience, who joins in on my songs every time I play, is one of the reasons I like what I do. When my band and I played at Zomaland, the audience became very interested. The audience participated as much as possible to songs like Kali kali zulfon ke, Kehna galat galat, and the most recent original, Samandar sharaab. We sang our unpublished original song, Khoya sa, and were pleasantly delighted by the crowd's response. Being able to play in front of such a large audience is a true blessing.

Do you observe any unique customs, warm-ups, or beliefs before to each stage production? Are you still anxious?

In general, I am not extremely superstitious. Before every theatrical show, however, I engage in a few vocal exercises. I have adhered to this technique from the start of my professional career. It enhances my voice range. Yes, just like everyone else, I feel anxious before a major performance. However, I prefer to use that anxious energy to provide a dynamic performance. And it helps me get over my worries because I have a band that is so ready to support me.

Which professional achievements do you consider to be the most significant to date?

The level of support my fans showed for my cover of Kali Kali Zulfon Ke was unexpected, but it turned out to be a game-changer for my career. My greatest accomplishment, in my opinion, is still ahead of me, but I'm determined to keep pushing for it until I do.

Which of your songs do your fans most often bring up in conversation when they see you in person or engage with you on social media?

Each person I speak with has a unique favorite. Some of them like my own songs, Tera ring and Poori tarah se, while others enjoy versions of songs like Kali kali zulfon ke and Halka halka suroor.

Who among your peers do you respect, and who have been your main sources of inspiration?

I shall always be very inspired by Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan saab. His interpretations, which I listened to growing up, have influenced my musical style ever since. I have a lot of respect for Ed Sheeran, Arijit Singh, and Atif Aslam among my peers. Being able to work with any of these artists would be a dream come true.

What specifics about your next initiatives can you share with us?

A number of initiatives are planned for the future. As I previously indicated, Khoya sa, my next song, will shortly be released. I hope it receives the same level of affection from everyone as I have been lucky enough to experience in the past.

In terms of music, where do you see yourself in five years? Is there a specific objective in mind?

I typically make an effort to live in the now and avoid talking or thinking too much about the future. Naturally, the objective is to create a lot of creative music and to amuse the audience.
