The Mumbai Indians are experts at picking up the pace slowly at first and then picking it up quickly. They suffer a string of defeats at the start of the season before dominating the opposition with strong performances.

They began their run of play with three losses as well, but they are now in danger of winning a hat-trick. To do that, though, they will need to beat the Chennai Super Kings challenge.

With five titles apiece, Mumbai and Chennai have the biggest rivalry in the IPL. Thus, Sunday's game at the Wankhede might be a major event. However, as both teams have new captains, unlike in previous years, veterans Rohit Sharma and Mahendra Singh Dhoni will not be there for the toss.

Mumbai's batting lineup, which is replete with big-hitters, can terrorize any bowling attack. Even though Jasprit Bumrah consistently sets new benchmarks for greatness when he steps onto the pitch, their bowling unit is their weak point. Chennai will thus attempt to take advantage of that weakness in their opponents' defense on the Wankhede's batting-friendly surface.

Mustafizur Rahman would have to take on more responsibility if Matheesa Pathirana is unable to play on Sunday. It is unclear if Chennai will be able to hire the Lankan slinger.
