Part Two Trailer Unleashed! Paul Leads Fremen against War and Warms Up with Chani
Villeneuve's epic sequel promises sandworms, spice, and steamy desert romance, with Walken, Pugh, and Butler joining the fray.
In the latest trailer for Denis Villeneuve's Dune: Part Two, released by Warner Bros. Pictures on Tuesday, Timothée Chalamet's Paul Atreides takes on the role of Arrakis's new leader and teams up with Zendaya's Chani to save their desert planet from an impending war.
The two-minute, forty-nine-second video features Paul, the head of his people on the desert planet, teaming up with Chani and the Fremen to avenge his family's destruction at the hands of the conspirators. It starts with Chani reassuring Timothée as he awakens from a nightmare with a start. Paul had visions in his nightmares of massive sand worms wreaking havoc on the planet Arrakis, and of an impending war that was about to break out.
A peek of Timothée and Zendaya's passionate on-screen romance can be found in the trailer. Additionally, it provides a brief introduction to recently added cast members, including Christopher Walken as Emperor Shaddam Corrino IV, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Lea Seydoux as Lady Margot, and Austin Butler as the "psychotic" Feyd-Rautha.
Denis Villeneuve, a multiple award winner, is the director of Dune: Part Two. He also directed the 2021 version of the movie. Frank Herbert's epic science fiction novel from 1965 served as the inspiration for the television series. Villeneuve's follow-up, co-written with Jon Spaihts, is produced by Cale Boyter, Mary Parent, Tanya Lapointe, and Patrick McCormick.
On March 1, 2024, Dune: Part Two is scheduled to open in theaters.
