Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum's Rom-Com "Fly Me To The Moon" Set for Indian Theatrical Release
Greg Berlanti Directs a Sharp, Stylish Comedy-Drama Amid NASA's Apollo 11 Moon Landing
Starring Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum, Sony Pictures Entertainment India revealed on Tuesday that the romantic comedy "Fly Me To The Moon" will open in Indian theaters on July 12.
Greg Berlanti is the director of the film, which is described as a "sharp, stylish comedy-drama set against the high-stakes backdrop of NASA's historic Apollo 11 moon landing."
On Monday night, Sony Pictures announced the movie's release date and released the trailer on its official social media accounts.
"Everyone on the planet will be observing. "#FlyMeToTheMoon starring Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum opens exclusively in theaters on July 12," the studio said on X.
Johansson portrays Kelly Jones, a marketing guru hired to improve NASA's public perception.
"As Jones wrecks havoc on launch director Cole Davis's (Tatum) already challenging mission, sparks fly in all directions. The countdown officially starts when Jones is ordered to stage a fictitious lunar landing as backup after the White House decides the mission is too crucial to fail. The movie will definitively answer the query, "Did the United States of America stage the moon landing?" peruse the official press release.
Along with Nick Dillenburg, Woody Harrelson, Ray Romano, Donald Elise Watkins, Christian Zuber, Anna Garcia, Jim Rash, Noah Robbins, and Christian Zuber, "Fly Me To The Moon" will also star Woody Harrelson.
