Sub-Inspector Beaten Up Inside Police Station in Madhya Pradesh, Nine Arrested

An official reported that eight men and a woman had been detained for allegedly beating a sub-inspector inside a police station in the Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh.

According to the source, K P Sharma, the hurt officer, has been hospitalized.

According to inspector Suresh Sharma, the event happened on Sunday at the Karaira police station where the suspects had gone to record their statements in relation to a suicide abetment case.

The injured officer claims that a young man committed suicide by hanging in the district's Toriya Khurd hamlet four days earlier, and that five others have been charged with aiding and abetting the crime.

He claimed that on Sunday, members of the youth's side were summoned to the police station to provide statements.

However, a young man who had come to record his testimony began using his mobile device to record a video of the events. The injured officer claimed that roughly nine individuals beat him up inside the police station after he was warned not to capture the footage.

The official claimed that a woman was one of those who reportedly attacked the cop.
