Popular TV Series The Bear, Succession, and Beef were named the top victors among all TV shows at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards, which were held on Monday (Sunday night in the US) and presented by comedian-talk show presenter Chelsea Handler.

HBO-Max drama Succession was named the best drama series, while Kieran Culkin and Sarah Snook were recognized for their exceptional performances in the show with the best actor and best actress trophies in a drama series, respectively.


Ayo Edebiri won best actress, Ebon Moss-Bachrach won best supporting actress, and Jeremy Allen White won best actor for their outstanding performances in the FX comedy series The Bear. The show also won best comedy series.

Together with three acting honors, the Netflix series Beef won best limited series. For their outstanding roles in the series, Ali Wong (best actress), Steven Yeun (best actor), and Maria Bello (best supporting actress) received accolades.

The Critics Choice Awards also honored exceptional supporting role performances. Best supporting actor and best supporting actress in a drama series went to Billy Crudup of The Morning Show (Apple TV+) and Elizabeth Debicki of The Crown (Netflix), respectively. Meryl Streep won an award for best supporting actress in the comedy genre for her performance in Only Murders in the Building (Hulu).

Quiz Lady (Hulu) earned the prize for the best movie made for television, Lupin (Netflix) received best foreign language Series, and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off (Netflix) bagged the best animated series trophy. The greatest comedy special went to John Mulaney's Baby J on Netflix, and the best talk show went to Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on HBO | Max.
