Tragic Death of Teenager in Kolkata: Investigation Underway After Fatal Fall from Skyscraper

A Class X girl at a local school died on Monday night after falling from her apartment on the twentieth floor of a skyscraper on CIT Road.

According to the police, the child slipped out of her room via an open window as her family was at other apartments.

The girl attended a city school in Class X. On Monday night, she rode her bike outside, came home, and went to her room. That was gonna be followed by her meal. An official of the Kolkata police's eastern suburban division said, "When she did not come out of her room, the family members started looking for her in other rooms and then outside the house thinking she might have stepped out again."

At the foot of the 22-story building, in a pool of blood, she was discovered.

After being brought to a private hospital, her death was announced.

According to an officer, no suicide note was discovered, and it is still unknown whether the girl fell accidentally or leaped to her death.

"Her parents can't get over it. We've been unable to communicate with them. On Tuesday, her family picked up her corpse, he added.

The officer said that after speaking with the girl's friends and classmates, they discovered that, on Monday, she was acting normally and hadn't done anything to raise any red flags.

He said, "We have not discovered any suspicious material or the girl's medical history."

On Tuesday, a post-mortem was performed on the deceased. According to the authorities, she died from "death due to fall from height" and had many fractures.

A case of unnatural death has been initiated.
