Relocating to Englishbazar some time ago, Supriya left her husband and kids behind in Pukhria.

She refused to go back and live with my son Sujit, working as a beautician. This caused resentment between them. The accused's father, Makhan Singh, said, "I heard my son stabbed her last night (Tuesday)."

Police sources claim that Sujit phoned Supriya on Tuesday and requested her to meet at Shimal. "Supriya was stabbed multiple times by Sujit as soon as she arrived at the location," a police source said.
