Venom 3 Production Resumes Following SAG-AFTRA Strikes

Following the end of the SAG-AFTRA strikes on November 8, production on Venom 3, the follow-up to Venom: Let There Be Carnage and the third installment of the superhero film series, has resumed, as star Tom Hardy announced on Friday.

"V3N0M 3, The Last dance - thankfully we are back to shooting; and I want to take a moment just to thank all the teams thus far on the ride from V1 to here all our fantastic Cast and crew- good friends and family - we've come a long way - it's been and continues to be a lot of fun," Hardy wrote on Instagram on Friday, sharing a behind-the-scenes photo from the Venom 3 sets.

The 46-year-old actor also said, "There's always hard turns to burn when we work, but it doesn't feel as hard when you love what you do and when you know you have great material and the support at all sides of a great team." He also thanked his co-stars and staff for their unwavering support. It doesn't get any better than being surrounded by passionate and gifted departments and the people you love and care about.

The franchise's lead actor, Hardy, was all love for Kelly Marcel, the author and director of Venom. "I would like to express my brief pride in my close friend, writing partner, and director, Kelly Marcel. It makes me proud to see you take the lead on this one; it's an honor. Your instincts are always right, so trust them. First rate: I support you. Itemized as %. "As usual," he concluded his message.

While it is certain that Hardy will be returning to Sony and Marvel's Venom as journalist Eddie Brock, along with his parasitic companion Venom, the narrative of the new film has not been revealed.

Due to Hollywood's writer and actor strikes, Venom 3's original release date was rescheduled till July 12, 2024.
