According to a video the actor posted on Instagram on Tuesday, 12th Fail star Vikrant Massey recently attended the screening of the Vidhu Vinod Chopra-helmed biopic at the 26th Shanghai International Film Festival in China.
"This week, 12th Fail was highlighted at the @shanghaiinternationalff, and we are incredibly appreciative of all the support we got from China. "I express my sincere gratitude to the Shanghai Film Festival committee for acknowledging and commemorating the tale of 12th Fail," Vikrant wrote as the Instagram description for his film.
In the footage, Vikrant is seen entering the Shanghai Grand Theater and mingling with the crowd after the movie has finished. The actor highlights in the video how the movie emphasizes the importance of authenticity and honesty—the two qualities that, in the end, lead to success. Vikrant poses for photos with admirers as the video comes to a close.
Vikrant had previously posted a different video in which he expressed his disappointment at not seeing Vidhu Vinod Chopra there.
Presenting 12th Fail to the Shanghai crowds during the film festival has been an amazing experience. I missed Vidhu Vinod Chopra, my man. However, we'll be back together the next time," Vikrant stated in response to the video, announcing that the biopic would soon be shown in Chinese theaters.

China's largest city hosted the film festival, which began on June 14 and ended on June 23.
The 2019 biography 12th Fail, written by Anurag Pathak, also features Medha Shankr. The narrative centers on Manoj Kumar Sharma, who overcome abject poverty to realize his ambition of joining the Indian Police Service (IPS). The film debuted in theaters on October 27 of last year, and on December 29 it was made available on Disney+ Hotstar.
Many Bollywood celebrities, such as Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, and Hrithik Roshan, praised 12th Fail. In December of last year, it also became the highest-rated Indian film ever on IMDb, earning a 9.2 out of 10.
Disney+ Hotstar is presently offering the movie for streaming.
