In just one week after its release, Ajay Devgn's Shaitaan has reportedly broken into the Rs 100-crore club globally, per a claim from data tracking website Sacnilk.

The supernatural thriller directed by Vikas Bahl, which also stars R. Madhavan and Jyotika, has made Rs. 80 crore in revenue in India alone. An additional Rs. 20 crore has come from international sales.


Shaitaan, which stars Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, is the third Hindi film of 2024 to break the Rs 100-crore mark. Fighter was the first movie to do so. Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor's Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is the other movie to reach this milestone.

The film's path to the Rs 100-crore milestone started on March 8 with a robust opening day collection of Rs 14.75 crore nett in India. On Saturday, that amount significantly increased to Rs 18.75 crore nett. On Sunday, profits increased even more, hitting Rs 20 crore net.

The trend persisted during the workdays, with collections on Monday reaching Rs 7.25 crore nett and on Tuesday reaching Rs 6.5 crore nett. On Wednesday, the film's sixth day, Shaitaan maintained its remarkable run, bringing in about Rs 6.25 crore nett from domestic sales. With this, the movie has made a total of Rs 74 crore nett in India thus far.

The Gujarati horror film Vash, directed by Krishnadev Yagnik in 2023, is being remade as Shaitaan.
