During Ed Sheeran's March 16 show in Mumbai, Indian musician Armaan Malik took the stage with the English singer-songwriter to play his 2021 hit, 2step.

Armaan thanked Sheeran for allowing him the chance to perform with him at Mahalaxmi Race Course on Monday, sharing a video of the moment. "For me, it was a true full circle moment! "I'm grateful to Ed for inviting me to perform 2step last night," he wrote in the Instagram description.

In the music video, Sheeran was seen playing the guitar while Armaan was incorporating aspects of Indian classical music into the song. The British artist looked sharp wearing trousers and a black t-shirt, while Armaan wore an oversized white shirt with red heart-shaped patterns on it. The two vocalists struck Shah Rukh Khan's famous arms-stretched-out stance on stage as the video came to a close.

One other notable partnership from Sheeran's Mumbai show was with singer-songwriter Diljit Dosanjh, who sang with Sheeran on his 2021 song "Lover" for the first time in Punjabi.

After his Divide Tour in Mumbai's Jio Gardens in 2017 and his x Tour in 2015, Sheeran was performing in India for the third time at this show. This third performance was a part of his current "+ - = ÷ x Tour," sometimes referred to as The Mathematics Tour, which got underway in Dublin, Ireland, on April 23, 2022, and is set to end in Larnaca, Cyprus, on September 8.

The enthusiasm around Sheeran's trip was heightened by his contacts with Bollywood celebrities, including as Shah Rukh Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Madhuri Dixit, and Ayushmann Khurrana, during his visit to Mumbai.
