Kareena Kapoor Khan to Play Detective in New Film "The Buckingham Murders"

Detective stories have always been her thing, and Kareena Kapoor Khan claims that her new movie "The Buckingham Murders" would satisfy her dream of playing one.

"The Buckingham Murders," directed by Hansal Mehta, is described as a "atmospheric thriller." On Saturday, the picture debuted globally at the 67th BFI London picture Festival.

In addition to acting, Kareena is producing the project with Ektaa and Shobha Kapoor. She expressed her excitement about her newfound role as an actor and producer.

"Ekta, Hansal, and I embarked on this adventure with the intention of creating a rather unique picture, but one that is heartfelt, humorous, and, oh my gosh, filled with a lot of emotions. As an actor and first-time producer, I couldn't be more anxious and excited as this picture embarks on its voyage in the world of cinema. It showed at the British picture Institute last night. "I feel really cool, but I feel so weird writing that," the 43-year-old wrote on Instagram.

Kareena plays Jasmeet Bhamra, a police officer and single mother who recently lost her child in a shooting spree, in the film, which is set in London. After moving to High Wycombe, she is tasked with investigating a child's disappearance.

The actor claimed that for the previous 23 years, she has been yearning to portray the role of Jas.

"I was a huge fan of the detective series genre, having watched everything from Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot to Kate Winslet's Mare of Easttown, to Helen Mirren's Prime Suspect, and Karamchand. I was dying to be that detective woman." I began reading a 25-page synopsis that Hansal and Ekta sent me at one in the morning, and I knew then that I had finally found the woman I wanted to be," the woman continued.

"Jaane Jaan," a Netflix film directed by Sujoy Ghosh, featured Kareena lately. Filming for Rohit Shetty's "Singham Again" is what she is now doing.
