Kung Fu Panda 4 Trailer Unveils Shape-Shifting Foe and Po's Spiritual Journey

The Kung Fu Panda 4 trailer, released by Universal Pictures on Wednesday, features Dragon Warrior Po Ping facing his greatest challenge from a new foe at a time when he has set out to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace.

The two-minute, 26-second teaser follows Po as he ascends to become the Valley of Peace's Spiritual Leader. However, before he can ascend to such a high rank, the Kung Fu enthusiast is threatened by a new foe: Chameleon, a formidable, shape-shifting lizard sorceress who has her sights set on Po's Staff of Wisdom.

Po's preparations to take on the role of spiritual leader are further shown in the video. It depicts Master Shifu teaching Po how to meditate while the latter's thoughts are continuously focused on his paleo diet. Additionally, Tai Lung, a formidable master of the Leopard Style of kung fu, makes an exciting reappearance and is briefly shown. The teaser also features appearances by Tigress, Mantis, Monkey, Crane, and Viper, among other characters.

Oscar winner Viola Davis provides the voice of Chameleon, while School of Rock star Jack Black plays Po once again. Academy Award winner Dustin Hoffman will play Master Shifu, and Ke Huy Quan, star of Everything Everywhere All at Once, will join the cast to play Han, the Den of Thieves' leader.

Kung Fu Panda 4, which is co-directed by Mike Mitchell and Stephanie Ma Stine, will hit theaters on March 8, 2024.
