PM Modi calls for global strategy to combat transnational crimes

In the spirit of his favorite slogan, Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, or "the world is one family," Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for a global strategy to deal with rising transnational crimes like terrorism, money laundering, and the misuse of artificial intelligence on Saturday, arguing that it is the only way to stop the threat that knows no national boundaries.

Modi emphasized the need for a powerful and independent judiciary while launching the Bar Council of India (BCI)-organized International Lawyers Conference on Emerging Challenges in Justice Delivery System in New Delhi. He advocated for the simplification of legislation and court rulings into language that the average person could understand.

"The world is currently dealing with a number of problems, including terrorism, cyberterrorism, money laundering, and potential uses of artificial intelligence that have reached a global scale. When there are global issues and threats, there should be a worldwide reaction because every nation needs to work together to solve problems, the prime minister told the audience.
