Ranbir's Animal Roars into Rs 500 Crore Club, Conquers Hindi Box Office

After opening in theaters on December 1, the Ranbir Kapoor film Animal quickly became the second-fastest Hindi film to reach the Rs 500-crore milestone in India, behind Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan, in just 17 days.

In sixteen days, Jawan made the mark.

The fourth Hindi film of 2023 to earn over Rs 500 crore is called Animal. It took Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 22 days to reach the milestone, whereas Shah Rukh's Pathaan only needed 28 days to become a member of the club.

The box office monitoring website Sacnilk reports that Animal made an astounding Rs 337.58 crore nett in its opening week. The movie maintained its amazing run in the second week, grossing Rs 139.26 crore net. Day 15 and Day 16 box office collections for Animal stood at Rs 8.3 crore nett and Rs 12.8 crore nett, respectively, demonstrating the film's enduring appeal to the public.

On its seventeenth day, the action film directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga maintained its impressive pace, adding Rs 14.08 crore nett to its tally, bringing the total to Rs 512.02 crore nett in India.

Animal's popularity extends beyond the Indian market. The movie's producers proudly declared on Sunday that it has now made over Rs 800 crore at the worldwide box office. According to the movie's official account, Animal has made an astounding Rs 817.36 crore in total revenue worldwide. On X, they posted, "#Animal remains invictus at the Box Office."

Aside from Ranbir, the cast of Animal is exceptionally talented and includes Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandana, Anil Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, and Prem Chopra. The main character of the story is Ranvijay (Ranbir), a wealthy businessman's son who will stop at nothing to win the respect and affection of his father, Anil Kapoor.
