The actress-producer Alia Bhatt said on Saturday that her program, Poacher, a murder thriller series funded by her, is now trending at the top spot in India on Amazon Prime Video. She expressed her gratitude to fans for their support of the show, which debuted on Friday.

The actress shared a photo of herself cuddling up to her favorite cat Edward and posing in front of the Poacher title card on a TV screen."& Poacher is number one in India barely a day after it was released! So happy and ecstatic to be getting love. For those who haven't seen it yet, watch @primevideoin right now.

In the photo, Alia is wearing a relaxed white t-shirt and red shorts.

Alia is the sponsor of the series, which is run by Eternal Sunshine Productions.

Alongside Dibyendu Bhattacharya and Nimisha Sajayan in the series, Roshan Matthew also posted an Instagram photo of Poacher's title card.

The 31-year-old actor, who starred with Alia in Darlings, suggested that people watch the program in Malayalam as that is the language in which the producers filmed it. He noted that all other language selections had dubbed voices. "This is the version where the spoken language changes to Hindi and English situationally, the way we shot this show," he stated.

In the midst of widespread elephant poaching in Kerala, Poacher centers on a group of non-governmental organization employees and forest officers who go out on a quest to disrupt a multitrillion dollar ivory smuggling network.

Poacher is directed by Richie Mehta, who previously won an Emmy for his Netflix series Delhi Crime, which starred Shefali Shah. Other cast members include Ankith Madhav, Kani Kusruti, Suraj Pops, Vinod Sherawat, Ranjita Menon, and Snoop Dinesh.

The show's soundtrack was created by Andrew Lockington, while Johan Aidt handled the series' photography. Poacher, which was also produced by Suitable Pictures, Poor Man's Productions, and QC Entertainment, made its Amazon Prime Video debut on Friday.
